1/4 Storyfest: International Storytelling Festival Singapore

What Storytelling is universal. As the oldest form of communication that predates writing, it is inherent in the start of civilisation and seeks to engage the young and old from a multitude of cultural and heritage backgrounds. Through the performances of talented storytellers from Singapore and overseas, Storyfest 2019, which is held at The Arts House this year, aims to bring audiences back to the very purpose of this versatile form, encouraging intercultural exchange and inspiring ownership of our own narratives.

Packed with an exciting line-up of workshops and performances, including the Asian premiere of Reflecting Fridas: The Life of Frida Kahlo by Brazilian storyteller Ana Lines, as well as Gilgamesh by remarkable American storyteller, David Novak, festival-goers of all ages will be transported to different fantastical realms as they embark on these narrative journeys.
