This weekend, celebrate the one-year anniversary of Dover Street Market, bring your child on an experiential art journey, visit an expansive solo exhibition by Singapore's oldest living artist, and explore the creations of over a hundred local designers, chefs and inventors all under one roof

Children's Festival

What National Gallery Singapore is launching the inaugural Children's Festival so young ones can explore their imagination and creativity through experiential art and active play. This edition is inspired by Cultural Medallion winner Lee Wen, who contributed five interactive installations such as the Daydream Tunnel where participants can spin the wheel of life. Other exhibitions to look out for include Hands On (pictured), where children can make art out of household items like pool noodles, and Firewalk: A Bridge of Ambers, which features a 10-metre infinity bridge-cum-optical illusion.

Portrait Of The Heart

What Ode To Art gallery is hosting a special curation of over 80 works by Cultural Medallion winner and 98-year-old veteran artist, Lim Tze Ping. Visitors will be in for a visual treat in the form of Lim's iconic Singapore River and Chinatown renderings. They will also get an exclusive look at some of his art calligraphy works which are being publicly displayed for the first time—those feature the artist's signature 'muddled calligraphy' style, alongside vibrant colours and unique abstractions.

Dover Street Market Open Air Open House

What To celebrate its first anniversary, Dover Street Market will have an open house featuring a series of product launches and installations. Ones to look out for include Avi Gold's Hot Dog Stand and football club Paris-Saint German' exclusive launch of their 2018/19 away jersey at the event. In the evening, enjoy the anniversary party featuring live DJ performances from brand collaborators as well as complimentary food and drinks.

Keepers Playground Of Infinite Happiness

What With National Day just around the corner, now's the best time to celebrate our local talents. Keepers will gather over 100 homegrown brands—comprising designers, chefs, craftsmen, mixologists and inventors—under one roof at the Playground of Infinite Happiness, over 10 days. Expect to see retail labels like Ling Wu and Carrie K., food franchises like Tanuki Raw and Fossa Chocolate, quirky brands like W.W. Edibles and Kae Hana and many more at the National Design Centre.
