1/4 Michael Khoo: 80 Years of Dancing with Art

What Exhibiting his works for the first time, 81-year-old artist Michael Khoo will be showcasing his re-imagination of several iconic Singaporean landscapes such as the Singapore River and Central Business District, through the interplay of light, shadows and reflections. The Ion Art Gallery will play host for audiences to experience his unconventional and multi-dimensional paintings first hand and witness his unique play of lines and colours.

2/4 Okasian with Ghetto

What Korean-American rapper and singer Okasian will fuel the heart thumping mixes of Zouk’s resident DJ Ghetto, with his rapid-fire delivery and flurry of low drawls at Phuture for the first time in Singapore. Best known for his collaboration with Keith Ape on rap song It G Ma, his collaboration with Korean megastars including G-Dragon, CL and BewhY, has seen their track ₩1,000,000 be nominated for the Korean Hip-Hop Awards for Best Collaboration in 2017.

4/4 Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

What The annual Huayi—Chinese Festival of Arts, features a multitude of performative events including a dynamic take of the Bard’s popular Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, that will be staged this weekend at the Esplanade Theatre. With acclaimed director Li Liuyi helming the production’s creative direction, watch this innovative spin of Hamlet as it makes its overseas debut with a stellar cast to boot, including stage veteran Pu Cunxin, actress Lu Fang and actor Hu Jun. Specially commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of the Shakespeare Folio Project, this much anticipated theatre production is definitely one not to be missed at Huayi this year.
