What In the spirit of empowering women—the pet cause of social enterprise, Crib—the theme of its gala dinner this year is The Empress’s Journey. The highlight of the evening’s live auction is a yellow diamond ring by The Canary Diamond. Funds raised benefits international non-profit organisation EmancipAction, which seeks to end the sex trafficking of children and young women. At the Island Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.

What From the literary arts to the relationship between art and cinema, these are just some of themes explored at this year’s European Union Film Festival (EUFF), at National Gallery Singapore. The 27th edition of the festival offers a diverse selection of 27 films from 27 countries across Europe. With the spotlight on Germany this year, the festival opens with German filmmaker Fatih Akin’s Goodbye Berlin, based on cult novel Why We Took the Car about two youngsters on a road trip across the country’s eastern region. The EUFF also presents short films by students and alumni of Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Film and Media Studies, continuing its long tradition of collaborating with film schools in Singapore.

 With its adaptations of critically acclaimed plays such as Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman and Deanna Jent’s Falling, Singapore theatre company Pangdemonium has always stayed true to its mission to tell tatler_tatler_stories that are challenging, inspiring and relevant. For the first time since its inception in 2010, the company stages its first original work, Tango, by local playwright Joel Tan. This modern tale of compassion, inclusivity and hope is directed by Tracie Pang. At Drama Centre Theatre.

What  Since January last year, the Bone Marrow Donor Programme has welcomed 17,000 new donors, but it still requires over $2m each year to sustain its efforts. This is where its annual fundraising gala comes in. This year’s edition, themed La Dolce Vita, will be held at the John Jacob II Ballroom of The St Regis Singapore.

What Paying tribute to the Ludwig van Beethoven’s middle period, renowned chamber musicians including UK cellist Adrian Brendel join Singaporean violinist Tang Tee Khoon for this concert at Victoria Concert Hall. Discover three works that define Beethoven’s heroic years: String Quartet in F minor Op 95 Serioso; the last of his Sonatas for Piano and Violin Op 96; and the Piano Trio Op 97 Archduke.

Sting 57th & 9th Tour

What Performing songs from his latest record 57th & 9th as well as classic hits, British pop legend Sting returns to Singapore Indoor Stadium for a one-night only concert, joined by a three-piece band including guitarist Dominic Miller, and special guest Joe Sumner.
