1. Ron Sim

Billionaire and Osim founder Ron Sim’s 60th birthday celebration was a surprise bash organised by his family. The “Diamond Jubilee” was held at the Sims’ residence, attended by the entrepreneur’s close family and friends. Ron even took the stage for a duet with his son Roy, who was also the emcee for the night. The ultimate surprise for the night was a heartwarming video and a framed photo collage of him at different milestones of his life, put together by his wife and children.

2. Serene Chua

The long Easter weekend was made sweeter by Serene Chua's Candyland birthday luncheon. The colourful celebration was held at the indoor deck of Ce La Vi, with guests showing up in lovely pastel shades that were right on theme. It was a candy galore, with lollipops, Smarties, Skittles, and a custom unicorn carousel three-tier cake, personally sketched out by Serene. Of course, a scrumptious four-course meal was also served, by the beautiful sea view from Marina Bay Sands.

3. Renee Tan

A long-time customer of Bvlgari, Tatler friend Renee Tan’s birthday celebration was an intimate tea party at the private salon of the jeweller’s Ion Orchard boutique. Attended by her closest group of friends, there was an endless flow of sweets and bubbly as the ladies shopped the afternoon away. Bvlgari also prepared gorgeous blooms, gold foil balloons and birthday cake for the occasion.

4. Chermaine Pang

Chermaine Pang’s birthday bash this year was a throwback to the swinging '60s at restaurant Alma by Juan Amador, complete with a beautiful pale blue scooter and sidecar that made for adorable photo ops. The band was on point, keeping guests tapping their feet or doing the twist to the beat—after all, what’s a party without good music? Keeping with the theme, Chermaine’s friends were also decked out in their retro best, with brightly coloured shift dresses and cute headbands.

5. Sharel Ho

Sharel Ho’s birthday celebration this year was made more meaningful by her spirit of generosity. The managing director of Defred Jewellers chose to hold her party at the Singapore Turf Club, in conjunction with the RDA Cup Charity Luncheon to raise funds in support of the Riding for the Disabled Association of Singapore’s (RDA) programmes. Instead of receiving gifts, the horse riding enthusiast encouraged guests to donate to the programme, which helped raise some $30,000 for its efforts.
