The Ministry of Manpower has finally released the much-anticipated dates for Singapore’s 2022 public holidays and there is much to look forward to because we will be getting six long weekends next year.
In fact, the sixth long weekend was just added when it was announced on October 21 by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) that Hari Raya Puasa will fall on May 3 and Hari Raya Haji will take place on July 10.

The dates were pushed one day later than what was initially announced in April this year.
These are the public holidays that fall on a Sunday:
- Labour Day (May 1)
- Vesak Day (May 15)
- Hari Raya Haji (July 10)
- Christmas Day (Dec 25)
The public holiday that falls on a Monday will be:
- Deepavali (Oct 24)
Hari Raya Puasa will be moved to May 3 which is a Tuesday.

There will be one public holiday that falls on a Friday:
- Good Friday (April 15)
The other public holidays are:
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Chinese New Year (February 1 and February 2)
