Princess Diana’s Godson, Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark, Weds Long-Term Girlfriend Nina Flohr
The godson of the late Princess Diana and eighth in line to the now-defunct Greek throne, Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark wedded aviation heiress Nina Flohr in a surprise royal wedding on December 12. The couple first announced their engagement in September, after Philippos had proposed to Nina on the island of Ithaca in Greece earlier in summer.
Sharing the news of their marriage via Instagram yesterday, with Nina posting an adorable photo captioned “Just married (civilly)” of them in an embrace against a picturesque snowscape behind them. The bride wore a white two-piece tweed suit with a big white hair bow and Valentino heels, while the groom looked sharp in a black suit and blue tie.
Opting for an intimate civil ceremony, the wedding took place at the exclusive St. Moritz ski resort in Switzerland, with just their fathers King Constantine II and VistaJet founder Thomas Flohr in attendance, due to Switzerland’s strict Covid-19 restrictions. A formal religious ceremony is planned to take place next year, however.
That won’t be the only royal wedding we are expecting from the royal family of Greece and Denmark. Princess Theodora, Philippos’ older sister and the youngest daughter of Constantine had also been forced to postpone her May wedding to American lawyer Matthew Kumar.

The couple marked the day with a cosy meal at home, sharing on Instagram: “On what should have been our wedding weekend—the love and support from friends and family have been so appreciated. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you in Greece once it’s safe.”
Looks like we will be awaiting the wedding bells in 2021.
