Currently serving his national service as an air force officer, Pierre is the younger son of doctors Georgia Lee and Pierre Christian Ip-Yam. He has clearly inherited his mum’s killer sartorial style.

The most important lesson that my parents have taught me
The most important lesson that my parents have taught me would probably be that no one owes me a living. My parents have a deep-rooted belief that in order to succeed, one must work relentlessly and tirelessly.

Assumptions about me
People often assume that I’m spoilt. Contrary to popular belief, my parents are firm believers in independence. I work part-time in order to fund my escapades. Is anyone reading this hiring?

Favourite family tradition
Prata parties at our place!

Last thing I bought
An oversized Balenciaga denim jacket

The most important lesson that my parents have taught me
To be humble and considerate

Traits I inherited from my parents
Being helpful. I've always been taught that if I'm in the position to help someone, I should go out of my way to do so.

Last thing you bought
Gibson Thunderbird 2019 Bass guitar

Lust list
Canon Eos 1DX mk2

Favourite item that my dad has handed down to me
My father’s old blazer. I don't use it as much anymore but I can't bear to throw it away.

The most important lesson that my parents have taught me
Hard work. Nothing good comes without hard work. There's nothing like the satisfaction you feel when you achieve something that you set out to do. Nobody can give that to you.

Last thing I bought
Pandan waffle post-call. I needed a treat, the sun has risen and my patients are taken care of.

Style icon
Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens. The Coachella aesthetic with feathers and fringe—I wish I could wear that to work!

Favourite item that my grandparents have handed down to me
My grandmother has been buying charms for a bracelet, from every country she has visited. There are animals like reindeer, the Eiffel tower... and she’s passed it down to me. It's very precious because it took a long time to build.

Last family vacay
We went on a cruise in the Carribean. My family loves cruises because we can travel to many places. We went with our extended family and I love these trips because it’s great to have everyone together, especially since a lot of my relatives live overseas.
