Marvel's Loki to be Released Earlier on Disney+ on June 9
In an announcement video that featured Tom Hiddleston himself, the studio announced that instead of premiering on June 11, which is a Friday and typically the day that Disney+ launches their new shows, Loki would be released on Wednesday, June 9.
The announcement, which was released on all of Marvel's social media accounts, began with Hiddleson complaining that Loki tended to be left out of Marvel's montage videos and insisting that Loki was very heroic and charming.
He then claims that he can prove it before saying, "Wednesdays are the new Fridays." The video ends with a title card that shows Loki's premiere date move from June 11 to June 9.
The series will follow Loki, who is a villain and commonly referred to as the God of Mischief, and will take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
The show is also the only Marvel series to have already received the green light for a second season.
