The supermodel has reportedly been seen hanging out with West in NYC and France, and sources are saying that there’s “interest from both sides”
In a move that nobody could have seen coming, supermodel Irina Shayk, 35, is now reportedly dating rapper/wannabe fashion design guru Kanye West, 44, according to Page Six. Shayk was spotted in France together with the Follow God singer in France, where she celebrated his 44th birthday and stayed at the Villa La Coste hotel, People magazine reports. "She seems smitten. He invited her to France and she happily accepted," a source told People of the Russian supermodel. "They are not officially dating, but there is an interest from both sides."
Both Shayk and West have come off from their respective high profile divorces: West recently split with Kim Kardashian, whom he was with since 2012, and Shayk parted ways with actor Bradley Cooper after four years together. "They have known each other professionally for years. He started pursuing her a few weeks ago. Kanye is a persuasive guy," a source told People. "He hung out with her in NYC before they celebrated his birthday in France."

Shayk and West have been in each other's orbit from as early as 2010, when the nascent supermodel was featured in West's Power music video, and was name-dropped in the rapper's Christian Dior Flow track with the lyric: "I wanna see Irina Shayk next to Doutzen". Following this, West also cast Shayk to walk the fall/winter 2012 runway of his fashion label at Paris Fashion Week.
“I consider Kanye West to be one of those rare people that bring new ideas into the world,” the supermodel told PopSugar in an interview in 2012. “He brought art into music, and now he is releasing his passion for fashion and I think that it’s absolutely amazing! It does not happen to many musicians. He has a good eye for fashion and he is not scared to try new things.”
West shares four children with Kim Kardashian, North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2; while Shayk has a daughter with Bradley Cooper, Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper, 4.
