In Memory of Sean Connery: James Bond stars Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and More Pay Tribute

"The name is Bond—James Bond."
From the moment those words were uttered in 1962's Dr No, Sean Connery made history as the actor who kickstarted what would become one of the longest-running movie series that is still going strong today. The 25th Bond film, No Time To Die starring Daniel Craig, will be released next year.
But it was Connery who set the tone for the suave British agent 007 with a licence to kill. He would go on to play Bond in six movies (five official, one unofficial in 1983's Never Say Never Again). His successors Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have all had success playing Bond, but Connery's portrayal is widely regarded by fans as the best ever.

The Scottish actor would go on to carve an equally brilliant career outside the franchise with acclaimed performances in The Name of the Rose, The Hunt for Red October, Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, and The Untouchables which won him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. Back in the 1990s, Connery shot the movie, Entrapment, in Kuala Lumpur with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
