Father's Day is too underrated

Let’s be honest: Father’s Day celebrations can be a little under-the-radar compared to the pizzazz and attention that mothers get on their special day. But there’s no need for Dad to feel left out this Father’s Day—let him know just how much he is appreciated with some quality time spent over these unique experiences.

1. A rejuvenating facial at Sulwhasoo Spa

Men need pampering too, so indulge Dad in a Men’s Spa Treatment at Sulwhasoo. The 80min session includes deep-cleansing, facial massages and a nourishing mask using Sulwhasoo Men’s line of products. The ginseng seed oil found in the Sulwhasoo Men Age Defying Cream helps to nurture skin resilience, while Jeongyangdan—a complex of pine, skullcap, dried ginger, Siberian ginseng and Gaoderma lucidum—and ginseng extract help accelerate skin turnover and reinvigorate ageing skin. An underlying scent of pine, aloeswood and white sandalwood makes for a relaxing treatment, available at Sulwhasoo boutiques at Ion Orchard, Capitol Piazza, and Westgate.

2. Tour Asia’s first whisky museum

For the whisky-loving dad, there’s no better place to take him than to the Grande Whisky Collection by The Whisky Trust. Hidden away on the fifth storey of Ion Orchard, it houses over 5,000 rare and fine whiskies in what is Singapore’s highest valued collection of whiskies. The museum offers three different tours—classic, signature, and deluxe—guided by the master whisky ambassador, which takes you through the history and geography of this beloved liquor, followed by three tastings of different whiskies, depending on the tour you choose.

3. Go for a spin on the F1 circuit

You don’t have to wait for Grand Prix season to surprise your dad with an adrenaline rush from the tracks. Let him take the wheel in his very own supercar—from a fleet of Lamborghinis, Ferraris and McLarens—along the F1 circuit instead, and you can tag along for the ride. The street to freeway tour takes you on the official F1 circuit that goes by Bayfront Ave, Esplanade Drive, City Hall, Raffles Boulevard, and then to the highway for an under-tunnel experience with the engine roaring. How’s that for a joy ride?

5. Concoct a bespoke fragrance

Is it time for Dad to get a new signature scent? Indulge him in a private mixology session with a mixologist from Oo La Lab, who will guide him through designing his own hand-crafted fragrance from their wealth of fragrance notes. We’d say it’s almost a blast to the past of working on your science project together. If he can’t make time for the one-hour session, take the project home with Oo La Lab’s Collector’s Fragrance Mixology Kit, which contains a guided instruction manual, a generous blotter booklet to explore various combinations, and twelve fragrance notes. The label's collection of scents is also available at Naiise.
