2. Picturing the Pandemic: A Visual Record of Covid-19 in Singapore

What Featuring 272 photographs, a short film, and 16 donated artefacts, including the vial that contained the first vaccine administered in Singapore, the first exhibition introducing the National Museum of Singapore’s new Collecting Contemporary Singapore initiative traces the lives of Singaporeans during the early phases of the pandemic.

3. The Studios

What Esplanade’s annual theatre series returns with two commissioned works, meant to be staged last year, along with a third production called By Design, exploring the intersection of graphic design and performance conceived by Cake.

4. Musical Soundbites: Enigma Variations with Jessica Gethin

What In the final instalment of the four-part online video series for children by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, conductor Jessica Gethin performs the orchestral variations by English composer Edward Elgar.

5. No Regrets—A Tribute to Edith Piaf

What In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Sing’theatre stages a tribute to French music icon Edith Piaf, with a repertoire of 20 songs, in French and English, including La vie en Rose, performed by theatre talents such as Hossan Leong and Rebekah Sangeetha Dorai at Alliance Française Theatre.

6. Sewing Discord

What Discover the works of Ginette Chittick and four other artists and designers whose practices centre on cross‑stitching, embroidery, weaving and origami. Held at the Esplanade’s Jendala (Visual Arts Space), the artists come together to showcase how their crafts represent heritage and histories beyond their decorative purposes.

7. I am Kumar

What Singaporean comedian Kumar returns to the stage with a brand-new production that showcases his inimitable take on life on and off the stage. Expect a wonderful time at the Capitol Theatre filled with song and dance, and the comedian’s witty anecdotes.
