What World-renowned British primatologist Jane Goodall will be speaking extensively about the many adventures that her research has taken her—from her time in Tanzania where she studied wild chimpanzees in the 1960s, to her role as the United Nations Messenger of Peace in 2002—at a fundraising gala, which seeks to raise funds for the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore) to further its public educational efforts. Held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, guests can look forward to an enriching evening hosted by Nadya Hutagalung, who is an animal rights activist herself, and Moe Alkaff, as well as entertainment by The Thomson Big Band and jazz vocalist, Yvette Atienza.
Preceding the gala on the same day is a conference where Goodall will deliver a keynote speech, discussing the relationship between human and wildlife. Seven other speakers from Asia will also share their knowledge and personal stories on the matter, as well as on environmental education, before a closing plenary on the plight of orangutans in Borneo by Dutch biologist, Erik Meijaard.

Besides the primatologist's keynote speech, seven other speakers from the region will take to the stage to share their knowledge and experiences on human-wildlife co-existence, followed by a closing plenary by Dr. Erik Meijaard on orangutans and palm oil in Borneo.
