The last party I hosted was my 41st birthday at St Regis hotel. I wanted the ballroom to look grand, so I asked Mirage Flowers to help me with the floral arrangements. As for the menu, I Ieft it to St. Regis to recommend the dishes for me. For entertainment, I had Rob Collins to perform (he performs every night at 1-Altitude).

Aside from birthdays, we celebrate Chinese New Year every year. To us, it is a very auspicious occasion. Normally we will have an open house with our family and friends.

My ideal party would consist of a beautiful setting, nice floral arrangements, music and entertainment, great food and wine, and lastly, wonderful guests. I like to have fun with decorations, so party décor would be my signature touch that I put into all my parties.

Some of my favourite venues for hosting parties, besides my home, are hotels and restaurants such as The Four Seasons hotel, The St Regis, Fullerton Bay Hotel, Les Amis, Imperial Treasure, Au Petit Salut, Iggy’s and Clifford.

The Singapore Tatler Ball is one of the most anticipated parties of the year. Besides the wonderful guests list, the food and ballroom décor are always second to none. But personally, the highlight at every Tatler Ball would be the after-party Teochew porridge. Oscar de la Renta gown is my favorite designer, and I always wear his dresses to events.  This year I will be wearing his gown to the Tatler Ball again.
