“A friend’s friend once asked me out for drinks—he was not only 30min late but was also very sweaty and grumpy when he arrived. Within 5min of sitting down, he asked me how old I was and why I was still single. I politely replied, to which he remarked, ‘Wow, you’re already so old, better get married soon’. He continued making sexist jokes throughout the night until I had to make up an excuse to leave early.”

“I once dated a guy who was really lousy at giving directions. I was driving us to our destination, after picking him up from his house, and all he had to do was read the instructions on Google Maps. But he would relay them so late that I had to either brake suddenly or cut sharply across a few lanes to make a turn, which made me unnecessarily stressed out! My memory of the date itself was completely eclipsed by the horrible drive.”

“My recent dinner date didn’t seem interested in getting to know me at all. All he did was talk about his collection of luxury watches and cars. He even tried to show me how popular he is with the ladies, and that they would flock to him because he’s a doctor. If this was his way of trying to impress me, he certainly failed and ended up looking like a show-off instead.”

“Three years ago, a friend set me up on a date with her house guest. We went salsa dancing but throughout the night, he would repeatedly dash off to dance with other girls. Out of boredom, I started playing with my phone, but he snatched it away and placed it in his pocket, much to my disbelief. Fed up, I eventually left without bothering to say goodbye or ask for my phone back.”
