1/11 Fuel Up for F1 at Tanjong Beach Club

What Sentosa's Tanjong Beach Club will play host to an epic beach bash on its sands this weekend to get party-goers in the spirit of Formula 1. With DJ Andrew M behind the decks filling the place up with nothing but good vibes, guests can also look forward to fun drinking games such as flip cup or Jenga, all while soaking in the sun.

2/11 Art After Dark at Gillman Barracks

What In celebration of its seventh anniversary, Gillman Barracks hosts its signature bi-annual Art After Dark event with plenty of exciting programmes for the public to participate in.

Situated along Malan and Lock Road, be greeted by a 4.5-metre tall puppet in an interactive outdoor theatre piece named The Rubbish Prince. The performance tells the story about an enigmatic young man, whose narrative goes on to inspire audiences to care for the environment and enable the strength of the community to inspire change. 

Besides that and other performances by both local and international artists, Sundaram Tagore Gallery will also be presenting a solo photography exhibition named Migrations by American-British photographer Karen Knorr. Showcasing a series of images that explores the theme of migration (as the exhibition name suggests), it includes a display of Knorr's acclaimed pieces of her time in Northern India, being immersed in the region's rich and colourful culture.

3/11 Bacha Coffee at Ion Orchard

What Ion Orchard welcomes a new arabica coffee experience for its shoppers on Friday, as Marrakech-based coffee house, Bacha Coffee, arrives on our shores as its first international venture, right in the heart of Orchard Road. 

First opened in the spectacular Dar el Bacha palace in 1910, Bacha Coffee has served its famed coffee to some of the most iconic individuals of our time, including Charlie Chaplin, Franklin Roosevelt and Maurice Ravel. 

Decked out in bright hues of orange and indigo with marble floors and brass chandeliers, the luxurious coffee room will serve up drinks from its expansive 200 coffee varieties, each sourced from the world's most reputable coffee-producing regions.

4/11 Aerial performance by Bandaloop

What Apart from the unveiling of a new coffee house, Ion Orchard will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary by inviting shoppers to witness an awe-inspiring aerial performance by American dance troupe, Bandaloop. Set to be performed on the building's iconic glass facade, catch the dancers gracefully leap and soar in the air as the dance floor turns on its side.

5/11 Samsung Fold Live Studio with David Foster and Katharine McPhee

What There will be a series of fireside chats at Paragon to commemorate the release of Samsung's Galaxy Fold smartphone. Grammy award-winning musician David Foster, together with his wife, Katharine McPhee, will take the stage for an intimate performance on the final day.

6/11 Lavo Party Brunch

What Italian restaurant and rooftop bar Lavo will open its doors to host its famed day-time Party Brunch event, themed "Race of the Wild" this year. Held from 1pm to 5pm, guests can revel in the Formula One festivities as they enjoy a free flow of Perrier-Jouët champagne, and a range of house tipples to amp up the party.

7/11 Female Entrepreneur Day 2019

What After being held in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen for the past few years, the two-day only female-focused leadership event hosted by Female Entrepreneurs Worldwide (FEW) endeavours to bring together female-led businesses, leaders and entrepreneurs in Singapore this year. Held at Design Orchard, expect talks helmed by established business leaders such as Luo Liuyi, the former CEO of Jack Ma's family office, as well as Fanny Moizant, the co-founder of Vestiare Collective, a luxury pre-owned fashion site that is currently making waves in the online retail market.  

Besides, the brand's signature retail marketplace will be held on the first floor of the building, showcasing an array of selected brands by women-led companies.

8/11 Jazz Night at The Vagabond Club

What Apart from the sumptuous three-course Racer's Lunch that The Vagabond Club has prepared for the Formula One Grand Prix season, this week will also be the debut of the club's weekly Jazz Night, scheduled to be held every Thursday evening. 

To kick off this weekly special, The Nicole Duffell Trio will be taking the stage with their smooth jazz tunes and inventive use of melodies. Look forward to a performance by saxophonist Nicole Duffell, pianist Matthew Tan and double-bassist Christy Smith who will take you through a relaxing evening of live music.

9/11 Everything is Illuminated photography exhibition

What Showcasing the works of six Italian photographers, a subsidiary of Italian engineering company DZ Engineering has worked with the Dino Zoli Foundation to bring this photography exhibition preview to The Arts House for four days only.

With the full exhibition scheduled to be shown in Italy from October 26 onwards, it showcases the captured works of 12 historical and contemporary sites in Italy, including the Esplanade, Gardens By The Bay, City Hall and Supreme Court, as well as the Dolce&Gabbana flagship store at Ion Orchard—landmarks that the firm had worked on in Singapore in the past.

10/11 Masterpiece Collection exhibition

What As the Formula One Grand Prix celebrates its 12th edition in the city, Opera Gallery Singapore will be hosting its 25th anniversary with a Masterpiece collection, in conjunction with the circuit races this weekend.  

Although highly recognised for his paintings that emphasise on elongated facial features, Italian Jewish artist Amedeo Modigliani was also an impressive sculptor who only gained critical acclaim after his death in 1920. This weekend, the gallery presents a unique opportunity to see one of the rarest and earliest works by the artist—a bronze sculpture of Bice Boralevi. In addition, artworks by artists Alexander Calder, Keith Haring, Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol will be a part of the exhibition as well.

11/11 Episteme by Aesop

What Beauty brand Aesop has a sensory installation at Ion Art Gallery that's worth a visit, especially if you're a fan of the Australian cult brand. The starting point of this gallery is three of Aesop's best selling skincare products in Singapore: the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Hydrating Cream, Blue Camomile Facial Hydrating Masque and Lucent Facial Concentrate. Dutch artist Bart Hess created mesmerising short films that are looped and played next to thoughtful scenography set, in a gallery space that smells amazing, thanks to a not-for-sale Aesop oil burner blend, named Jean.
