With an unassuming facade and understated Chinese decor, Xin Cuisine’s merit lies in its faithfulness to traditions and appreciation for home-cooked delicacies. It offers an extensive menu of Chinese restaurant staples; we recommend the roast duck smoked in Chinese leaves with crisp skin, as well as the poached clams with preserved vegetables, which is finished with shredded ginger and a sprinkle of Chinese wine. Plump prawns coated in a secret batter are deep-fried before they’re slicked in a tangy yuzu mayonnaise, making for a rich and savoury seafood dish. A vegetarian-friendly dish features an assortment of mushrooms stir-fried and seasoned with white truffle oil. The waitstaff are familiar with the menu, explaining dishes and readily offering recommendations.
