Teppan by Chef Yonemura is one of the jewels among Resorts World Sentosa’s roster of celebrity-chef restaurants. It features three exclusive teppan counters where Masayasu Yonemura shows off his unique brand of French-Japanese fusion cuisine that has earned his restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto multiple accolades. The resident head chef does a fantastic job of keeping standards high, from the precise cooking on the teppan to the indulgent seasonal produce hand-picked by the chef from his Japanese suppliers. A kaleidoscope of luxurious ingredients is paraded in front of diners before the chef goes about giving each morsel the minimalist treatment over the teppan to let their natural flavours shine through. Asari clam pasta is a take on the classic vongole, tossed with cold pasta and a refreshing basil sauce. For mains, the A4 Kagoshima beef is expertly sizzled on the pan and served with garlic chips. Of course, this is best paired with a glass of red from the restaurant’s smart wine list.
