What to imbibe: Mai Tai a la Sugarhall, Bumbo Old Fashioned, Grand Olympic

This speciality rum bar is the place to be for relishing in the feel-good vibes of Jamaican reggae, vintage Latin and classic ska. Of course, you can also savour over 100 types of rum, sourced from around the world. Categorised according to origin and style, Sugarhall’s collection promises high quality, diversity and craftsmanship from the hogo-rich (raw sediments derived from the fermentation process of sugarcane juice) English Style rums from the British islands of the Caribbean; to the well-balanced and refined Spanish Style rums from Cuba, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Panama; and the grassy French Rhum Agricole from the French West Indies. Those looking to get schooled in the intricacies of these different styles of rums can choose from the bar’s fleet of six tasting flights, each with three servings of 20ml pours, curated to bring guests on a voyage of discovery into the richness of rum’s bounty. Alternatively, there is also a list of classic and signature cocktails to choose from, with each tipple created around a specific brand of craft spirit.
