The elegant, brightly lit interiors feature soft earthy hues and Chinese artwork. Tables are well spaced apart, ensuring a more comfortable dining environment. There are four private dining rooms as well.

A signature must-try is the flavoursome poached fish paste noodle with sliced fish and bitter gourd in shark’s bone cartilage soup. Another succulent wining option is the wok-fried Kurobuta cube with sliced garlic. 

The Peking duck is also rather good, with crispy skin done just right and juicy flesh working deliciously together. The deep-fried prawn with salted egg yolk is artfully plated and the interplay of colours, textures and crispiness adds to its culinary appeal. For a good counter balance to all that meatiness, the braised bean curd with mixed vegetables makes a good textured choice. 

For dessert, the soothing, lightly sweet chilled mango with sago and pomelo is satisfying, as is the chilled mango pudding and the chilled jelly royale in young coconut.

The wine menu features a carefully curated international selection with a mix of Old and New World varieties. The range of house pours can be more expansive.

Servers are personable and efficient. They also make well versed with the menu and make recommendations. Serving of dishes and clearing of tables is fast and unobtrusive.

The average spend per person is about S$60 for lunch or dinner.
