Located on the mezzanine level of the hotel, nine different dining experiences await at Mezza9. A three-course set dinner allows diners to customise their menus from selected dishes at a reasonable price. Blue swimmer crab cakes are a favourite starter, with the golden brown crispy crust enclosing sweet, moist, firm-textured crab with a fresh, clean taste; the sauce remoulade with crunchy pickle bits adds brightness to the cakes. With its meaty texture, the grilled flaky sea bass is enhanced visually and palatably by the addition of colourful organic vegetables that are delightfully crisp and bursting with natural flavours. The wine list covers a wide geographical range by the glass and the bottle; there’s even a walk-in wine cellar. Diners are able to watch busy chefs in several open kitchens and, thanks to the glass wall feature, can watch the hotel lobby and passers-by. Service staff are hard-pressed in the busy restaurant.
