Lei Garden Restaurant

A Cantonese cuisine galore featuring perennial crowd favourites like crispy roasted pork and double-boiled tonic soups

Lei Garden’s current location inside the picturesque grounds of Chijmes has European accented interiors in keeping with the colonial character of the building. Chef Lee, a Hong Konger turned Singaporean holds court in the kitchen, which excels in a wide repertoire of seafood and meat dishes. The crispy roasted pork, for example, is served with an exquisite crackling skin that showcases Lee’s expert roasting technique, while the steamed Saba fish fillet is bathed in an XO sauce that’s extremely flavourful but doesn’t overpower the fish. Apart from an impressive selection of predominantly Bordeaux blue-chip labels, the restaurant also features a fine Chinese tea menu that complements the dim sum perfectly.

Tatler Tip

Instead of ordering your seafood from the wait staff, take a walk and choose your own fish together with chef Lee from Lei Garden’s impressive wall of live seafood tanks.
