Japanese fine dining is paired with impeccable service to deliver an unforgettable dining experience

Ichigo Ichie, hidden along a dark corridor in the Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay, feels like a discovery. Pulling back the sliding door, you enter a space that is both homey and luxe. Chef Akane Eno, formerly of Sushi Kimura, presides over this intimate kappo restaurant, serving not raw fish, but a kaiseki-inspired menu that’s artistic and satisfying. Eno likes to combine unconventional elements to create new and innovative versions of familiar dishes. Each meal here famously ends with a donabe—Eno was one of the first to promote creative donabe rice bowls to finish off a meal. Because the menu is peppered with luxe ingredients (abalone, caviar, uni, Wagyu) the meal is pretty pricey, but given that Ichigo Ichie is almost always full (and often with Japanese patrons), the chef has fans willing to return again and again for her unique and delicious cuisine.
