Feng Shui Inn

Chinese   |   Harbourfront and Sentosa

Hong Kong veteran chef Li Kwok Kwong helms this grand restaurant, crafting Cantonese masterpieces that excel in both presentation and taste

The gleaming pillars and expansive layout give the place an ultra-modern and contemporary look and feel. The space allows for privacy, with tables set far apart. Given its proximity to the theme park, the restaurant is well equipped to accommodate families and large groups. The atmosphere is very relaxed, spontaneous and family-friendly.

Some of the dishes at Feng Shui Inn can be further improved, such as the roasted Beijing duck’s juiciness and crispiness. However, there are still a few standouts from the menu. The braised imperial bird’s nest with fish maw and assorted seafood in lobster bisque is a good choice for soup. The ingredients are fresh and the dish quite tasteful. The stir-fried grouper with huaishan and luffa and the stir-fried beef tenderloin with black pepper are also good options.

An international selection of wines is available by the bottle. For recommendations on pairings, ask the manager, who doubles up as the sommelier. While wines are available by the glass, the selections are fair and quite limited.

The service can be further improved, from the quality of the wait staff to the overall operations. On off days, there seems to be a general lack of coordination, making service very inconsistent. Language is one of the major challenges, especially with the clientele.

About $100 per person.
