Chef de cuisine Marco Manocchio helms the kitchen, and has given this Italian dining stalwart a contemporary makeover. To start, the treccia di Bufala Campana is a visual, palatable treat in which one whole ball of burrata cheese (braided like hair) is brought to the table and thinly sliced, before it’s plated with sweet tomatoes and salty anchovies. Meat dishes are done well here, too, as can be tasted in the tagliata di manzo, which is grilled to juicy perfection. Tiramisu gets an update as a dome-shaped creamy mascarpone mousse with dark chocolate shavings, but it’s still as addictively good as the classic version. New and old world wines by the glass and bottle complement the stellar dining experience, while the knowledgeable staff are unobtrusive, letting you enjoy the meal and soak in the scenic city views.
