Tham Loke Kheng

CEO and board director, Mediacorp

 

A media-industry veteran and head of the national mass-media conglomerate, Tham Loke Kheng has also held senior positions in Taiwan and Hong Kong

Tham Loke Kheng is chief executive and board director of Singapore state broadcaster Mediacorp, adopting her current role in September 2017 to lead the organisation’s efforts in increasing its viewership and revenues in a disrupted media landscape. Mediacorp’s assets include television, radio, digital and content production.

Tham’s industry experience encompasses senior roles at free-to-air TV, pay TV and broadband services providers in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The content and marketing specialist entered the industry after graduating from the National University of Singapore, working at the then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation in 1988. She spent eight years there, before moving on to other roles including president of Taiwan Broadband Communications and head of Hong Kong pay TV operator Now TV.

Tham has in addition worked at Singapore telecommunications conglomerate StarHub and Hong Kong information and communications technology firm Pacific Century CyberWorks. She is also a board member of the National Parks Board.
