Muhammed Aziz Khan is a self-made millionaire with businesses in the power, ports and property space

Muhammed Aziz Khan is a Bangladeshi billionaire industrialist, whose projects generate nearly 20 per cent of Bangladesh’s electricity. Khan has over 30 years of experience in his field, and is one of the pioneers in Bangladesh’s power industry, having established the country’s first independent power plant in 1997. He has led the Summit Group from the country’s first private sector power producer to a diversified group with investments across several other industries like trading, telecommunications and hospitality. Khan then went on to establish the Singapore-based Summit Power International in 2016.

Khan is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, the Singapore Recreation Club and the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market. In addition, he holds the post of president of the Bangladesh Association of Public Companies, and serves as Honorary Consul-General of Finland in Bangladesh.
