Lim took up a director role at Temasek Holdings in 2012 and assumed the position of the firm’s fourth chairman the following year. Founded in 1974, Temasek Holdings operates 11 offices worldwide. Its corporate arm is focused on investments and its portfolio, while a philanthropic division, Temasek Trust, aids vulnerable groups such as the disabled and seniors. In tandem with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and sovereign wealth fund GIC, Temasek’s role is to invest the country’s reserves.

Lim is also currently deputy chairman of the Singapore Labour Foundation and special adviser to the chairman of the People’s Association board of management.
