Multi-hyphenate entertainer Hossan Leong shines on every stage—be it theatre, television, film or radio

Hossan Leong is a Singaporean stage and screen actor, television host, radio deejay and comedian. Best known for his solo stand-up comedy, Singapore Boy, Leong has also appeared in various other plays, television programmes and films since he started his professional career in 1993.

The former ambassador of Singapore’s Speak Mandarin Campaign entered the entertainment industry with a role in The Necessary Stage’s Off Centre. Since then, he has appeared in various other programmes and productions, including talk-show comedy Talk, local television series Under One Roof, local films I Not Stupid and One Leg Kicking, and Chinese drama series Youfu. Leong, who is fluent in both English and French, has also lent his voice to radio and television commercials.

Leong, who has also hosted television game shows and radio programmes, founded Double Confirm Productions in 2013 to provide entertainment services for clients and produce some of his shows. His accolades include the Prix des Ambassadeurs Francophones (Francophone Ambassador Award) for helping to promote French culture in Singapore, as well as Tatler Singapore’s Award for Culture 2019.
