Centennial professor, National University of Singapore
Professor Ho Teck Hua is senior deputy president, provost and centennial professor at the National University of Singapore. He doubles as the chairman of the Singapore Data Science Consortium and executive chairman of AI Singapore, a national research and innovation programme aimed at harnessing the scientific and economic possibilities of artificial intelligence for the country.
The holder of a PhD in Decision Sciences from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, Prof Ho has worked with multinational corporations such as eBay, Google, Intel, and Johnson & Johnson as a consultant on behavioural change and strategic pricing strategy.
He has authored works in journals on behavioural economics, management science and marketing. He has also been a finalist in three notable awards in marketing research, namely the 2005 Paul E Green Best Paper Award, the 2006 John DC Little Best Paper Award, and the 2011 William F O’Dell Award.
Prof Ho also serves on the boards of the National University Health System, the National Environment Agency, and the Defence Science and Technology Agency. He is a fellow at the Civil Service College and chairs a research advisory panel for the Land Transport Authority.
