Finance visionary and innovation enthusiast Edmund Lee has led the banking institution since 2013

Edmund Lee joined JP Morgan as its senior country officer for Singapore in 2013. Prior to his appointment at JP Morgan, Lee had worked at Singapore-based securities and derivatives brokerage DBS Vickers Securities, which is wholly owned by DBS Bank. Lee was chairman and chief executive of DBS Vickers Securities for over a decade.

In his current role, Lee oversees JP Morgan’s operations and strategic development in Singapore, across its corporate and investment banks, asset management, and private bank offerings. The bank has earmarked innovation as a priority under his watch, investing in blockchain and robotics to unearth new opportunities for the bank and its clients. JP Morgan also started hiring professionals and graduates across all majors and disciplines to draw on their varied knowledge and experience, in line with its ethos of innovation.

The holder of a BA in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles enjoys robust connections with Singapore’s business community, and continues to foster that with the bank’s strong focus on clients and on-the-ground presence.
