Andre Roy heads up Wearnes Automotive, a prominent player in Asia’s luxury automotive market

Andre Roy is the chief executive of Wearnes Automotive, a Singapore-based importer, distributor and seller of premium and luxury cars that does business throughout Asia. Roy joined the company in 2000, having come from previous roles at Volvo East Asia and Volvo Canada.

Wearnes’ raft of brands includes Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover, Renault and Volvo. The company also scored exclusive distributor rights for hypercar models Pininfarina, Koenigsegg and Rimac in 2019; the three marques are sold in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mongolia. The brands are part of Wearnes’ Prestige Division, which also encompasses other upmarket brands such as Bugatti and Lotus.

The car distributor also welcomed Swedish premium electric performance car brand Polestar to its stable in July 2021. Wearnes created a bespoke retail area called Polestar Space to specially showcase the vehicles, including the Polestar 2, a fully electric premium compact model that features a sustainable build, all-vegan interior, and built-in Google services.
