Living your best life... for yourself and others

You know how we’re always being told by social media to “live your best life”? First of all, yes, we totally should; we all deserve to live happy and fulfilling lives. But seen from a different angle, and that catchphrase is a good reminder to live our best life for all those around us—which would include the environment, wouldn’t you agree? Bryant Lu, the vice-chairman of Ronald Lu & Partners Asia, talks to Tatler about when he first became aware of the importance of sustainability and how “irresponsible behaviour can damage the environment”. He also shared with us why success is not guaranteed in a family business, and how the pandemic gave him a new zest for life.

There are many other ways to live your best life. For Henry Golding, it’s the joy he gets from filmmaking and travelling... even if it does involve scooping panda poop. For Jane Sun, CEO of Trip.com, it’s all about championing gender-equity in a male dominated industry through pioneering policies. And for quite a few fabulous and multi-talented Bollywood actresses, it’s about playing strong and inspiring roles to carve a path for future generations of women in India’s entertainment industry.

Other newsletter highlights this week:

Go and live your best life, Tatler readers, whatever that looks like for you—and happy Friday!
