Fans of Hayao Miyazaki rejoice: Japan’s much-anticipated Studio Ghibli theme park will open its door to the world on November 1, the animation giant's official Twitter account announced.

Aside from the tweet, which was posted with an image of the lovely Totoro, the studio also shared a series of photos of attractions that are currently under construction, accompanied by a teaser video showcasing famous landmarks in Japan's Aichi Prefecture, where the park is located.

The park will feature five sections that were revealed in the concept art released last year. Three of the areas—Youth Hill, Ghibli Large Warehouse and Dondoko Forest—will open in November. While the remaining two, Witch Valley and Mononoke's Village, will open in 2023. All these attractions are inspired by the studio’s most famous films, and will blend with the surrounding greenery perfectly to immerse visitors in the wonderful world of Ghibli.

In last year's announcement, the studio had also confirmed that the park will feature a life-size replica of Howl’s Moving Castle. Visitors are welcome to explore the interior of the castle as well.

There's still a while to wait until the park officially opens, but you can always browse and enjoy Studio Ghibli's works on Netflix in the comfort of your home.
