This week, Singapore added another notch to its belt with the announcement that it was named the most Instagrammable place in the world in 2022, according to travel publication Big 7 Travel.

The article on its annual hashtag tally stated that our city was full of incredible photo opportunities.
“In addition to permanent gems ... Singapore is one of Asia’s art hubs, there’s almost always an unique exhibit going on perfect for those ‘wow’ pics,” it wrote.
The winners were chosen using a scoring system that analysed the number of hashtags per destination. It also took into account input from its global editorial team as well as sample survey results from its 1.5 million-strong audience.
A total of 50 destinations were put on the list with Boracay in the Philippines coming in second and Oahu, Hawaii in third.
Paris, Istanbul and Dublin also ranked high on this list which has been published for the last four years now.
In Singapore, we certainly know that our city is teeming with photo opportunities. From the majestic Gardens by the Bay to our rustic well-loved Haji Lane, there is no shortage of stunning spots to fill your Instagram feeds with.
