Ahead of his fan meet, the star made an appearance at a press conference at Resorts World Sentosa.

The affable star shared that while his last official trip to Singapore was before the pandemic, he has visited the island multiple times while on holiday.

“Singapore was one of the first countries to open its borders after the pandemic. I actually made a visit both last year and this year,” he said. He also said that while he loves Singapore, it was his first time in Sentosa.

“I can walk around Singapore’s city but Sentosa is far to walk to,” he jokingly shared.

When asked if he had been to Chinatown, he responded with a firm "absolutely".

When discussing about his new drama, he shares: “I was excited to film the second season as I got to film with the same cast. Scenes were comfortable and so it was so much fun.”

He added that filming the first season felt much lonelier as he “had to film a lot of scenes” by himself. He continued that in the second season, he had the opportunity to film more scenes with the Rainbow Taxi Company, thus making it more exciting.

“It was really hard to hold my character [during those scenes] because I was having so much fun. I had to force myself to calm down and keep my character as Kim Do-gi. It was definitely draining but because I was working with people that I was comfortable with, it didn’t feel too tiring,” the heartthrob explained.

The series also sees Lee performing multiple intense action sequences and car chases. He further mentioned that prior to filming the K-drama, he was a very safe driver but now, he has to “remember that I am not Kim Do-gi and should not drive dangerously”.

He explained cheekily: “Throughout the film, I had to accelerate and even drift on my own. Sometimes [when I’m driving], my character pops out and I have to remember to drive properly”.

Throughout the conversation, Lee showed off his adorable personality and even showed how fast he could transition from his cheeky self into his cool character persona. So for those attending his fan meet, you will have much to look forward to.

The second season of Taxi Driver is available to stream on Viu now.
