Can’t get enough of this South Korean star? Here are some of his other dramas to watch this weekend

Latest K-drama, Crash Course in Romance, has been all the rage recently, and for good reason. After all, who can resist watching South Korean actors Jeun Do-yeon and Jung Kyun-ho forming a relationship on screen together?

If you haven’t feasted your eyes on this heart-warming K-drama on Netflix, the series follows math tutor Cho Chi-yeol (Jung Kyun-ho) and single mother Nam Hang-saeon (Jeun Do-yeon) as their lives get intertwined with each others.

That said if you have already binge-watched the series and are in need of filling the Jung Kyung-ho gap in your heart, you’re in luck as the veteran actor has starred in multiple K-drama series—with some more popular than others.

1. Hospital Playlist

This fan-favourite medical drama follows the lives of five doctors who have been friends since college. Throughout the series, the friends—Lee Ik-joon (Jo Jung-suk), Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do), Kim Jun-wan (Jung Hyung-ho), Yang Seok-hyung (Kim Dae-myun) and Ahn Jung-won (Yoo Yeon-seok)—take us on a rollercoaster ride as we see them celebrate achievements and overcome failures. In the series, Jung’s character is an associate professor in cardiothoracic surgery who falls in love with Lee’s little sister.

2. Prison Playbook

When star basketball player Kim Jo-heok (played by Park Hae-soo) finds himself detained in jail defending his sister from an intruder, he needs to learn to adjust to the life behind bars. In the series, Jung plays Kim’s friend, Joon Ho, a soft-hearted police officer assigned to the jail unit.

3. When the Devil Calls Your Name

This underrated series follows music composer Ha Rib, played by Jung, as he sells his soul to the devil, exchanging it for fame and fortune. When his contract with the devil begins to expire, he needs to decide if he wants to continue gambling with his life.

4. Life on Mars

A remake of the British series of the same name, this action and mystery K-drama resolves around Han Tae-joon (Jung Kyung-ho), a successful crime investigation team leader. While working on a serial murder case, Han finds himself in an accident, waking up in 1988. There, he goes on a mission to discover how he travelled in time.

The 2018 series also features a star-studded cast, including Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’s Lee Bong-ryun, Gangnam Beauty’s Jo Woo-ri, and Alchemy of Souls’ Joo Suk-tae.

5. Missing 9

As its title suggests, this series revolves around nine individuals who have been stranded on an island following a plane crash. Among the group are staff and celebrities, including Jung’s character, Seo Joon-oh. Together we see the group fight for survival in hopes of finding safety. The series takes a turn when the survivors learn that someone had been murdered on the island.
