After years of anticipation, the last Blackpink member is making her solo debut this month—and we can't be more excited

Jisoo fans, it is time to gather your fellow Blinks because the Blackpink lead vocalist has finally announced the release of her solo album. The popular K-pop idol’s long-awaited debut album, Me, is set to drop on March 31 and is confirmed to include the title track, Flower.

In January, the K-pop girl group’s label YG Entertainment confirmed Jisoo's solo debut would drop in 2023, and revealed that the concept photos had already been shot.

YG Entertainment also stated: “The music video for Jisoo’s solo song is being filmed in an overseas location in strict secrecy. You can look forward to it as we invested the largest production cost ever among Blackpink videos.”

The teaser was announced earlier this month on her Instagram page, @sooyaa__, accompanied with the caption: “See you soon”. It was also shared on the band’s official social media accounts. Following the announcement, the Kill This Love singer released her first visual film, where she dons a stunning zebra print outfit surrounded by red flowers.

The Dior global brand ambassador is the fourth and last member of South Korean girl group to make her solo debut, with the first being Jennie in 2018, followed by Rosé and Lisa in 2021.

While her group mates had their solo debut, the Boombayah singer decided to focus on her acting career. Over the years, she has starred in multiple K-drama series including Hwarang in 2016 and Snowdrop in 2021.

Currently, the quartet is on their Born Pink world tour and have played over 20 shows across North America, Europe and Asia. The quartet is also set to perform in Singapore on May 13 and 14.
