A 1964 custom made John Lennon suit is up for auction.
A suit that was custom made for John Lennon is set to go under the hammer this week.
Featuring a grey houndstooth pattern, the woollen suit was worn by the music icon in 1964 while performing with The Beatles. It was designed by the band's tailor Douglas Millings and features two handwritten labels marked ‘John' on the breast pocket interior and on the trousers.
The suit was initially donated to Madame Tussauds by Lennon and has been on displayed. Now the suit will be put up for auction by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on March 30, with bidding beginning at US$50,000.
