These are the choice ingredients of Palace Hotel Tokyo’s Wanderlust Weekend package; set to complement the country’s gorgeous cherry blossom season.

The Japanese are fine masters of detail, carried to perfection this April in Palace Hotel Tokyo’s new Wanderlust Weekend package – celebrating the traditional Japanese cuisine’s (washoku) accreditation by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Asset, the hotel’s first Michelin star, and Japan’s only evian SPA.

The three-day, two-night package for two revolves around the Japanese idea of ‘wa’ (harmony), balancing the country’s cultural heritage yet injecting celebrated foreign influences.

Food connoisseurs will delight themselves at Wadakura, showcasing the season’s finest catches and crops in its kaiseki (traditional Japanese multi-course meal) menu, delivered with artistic flair. French fares are rightly glorified by chef Tokusaburo Tanaka at the newly minted Michelin-starred Crown restaurant, serving up an exquisite prix fixe dinner. Expert wine pairing can also be expected, since its original sommelier (also Japan’s first), Katsumi Asada is credited for fostering Japan’s love for wines and champagnes.

Understanding relaxation at its core, the experience is rounded out with a session at evian SPA TOKYO, a pristine oasis metaphorically capturing the journey taken by the mineral water through the Alps. The 50-minute Vitalizing Signature treatment combines traditional Japanese seitai trigger point kneading, coupled with the Swedish deep-tissue rub to enhance energy flow – so guests emerge thoroughly refreshed and restored.
