The Viking cruise is set to depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in December of next year

Viking River Cruises has announced its plans to forge ahead with its new 2021-2022 Viking World Cruise, which is set to span a lengthy 136 days where travellers will have access to 27 countries at 56 ports, with overnight stays in 11 cities.

The impressive world cruise will shuttle travellers across six continents while visiting dozens of the world’s biggest cities, including Los Angeles, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Luxor, Istanbul, Rome, Barcelona, and more, with stops in the Caribbean, the Americas, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

The vessel will make its way through Central America, hitting the Panama Canal before making its way up the west coast of North America, to Hawaii, then through New Zealand and Australia before circling back through Asia, the Middle East, and then Europe before ending up in London. Near the end, guests will be able to stay on board for an additional three nights to end the worldwide trip at the ship’s homeport of Bergen, Norway.

“For more than 20 years, we have been committed to providing our guests with immersive and culturally enriching experiences while travelling the world in comfort,” Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking River Cruises said in a press release, adding that “this has been an unusual year for all travellers, but we remain focused on the future and are pleased to offer our guests a new destination-focused World Cruise that allows for extensive exploration in 2021 to 2022.”

The enviable World Cruise will set sail on December 24, 2021 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will include three new ports of call: Phillip Island and Eden, Australia, as well as Yangon, Myanmar.

The cost of the impressive cruise will start at around US$50,000 per room. That price will also include international business class flights to the port of call, visa services, luggage shipping, and more.
