The Simon & Garfunkel Story

When  August 4

What  Following sold out tours in the United Kingdom and Europe, The Simon & Garfunkel Story has finally arrived in Singapore—for one night only. The show follows performers Sam OHanlon and Charles Blyth as Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel respectively, telling the tale of how these icons found their way to fame from humble beginnings to their eventual solo careers. Look forward to tributes to the folk rock duo through 1960s photographs and film footage to the soundtrack of their greatest hits.

Singapasar

When  August 4 to 6

What  Celebrate our nation’s birthday this weekend at Singapasar, a pasar malam-inspired bazaar that simply oozes with local flavour. Its third year running, the marketplace gathers a myriad of homegrown brands and products under one roof. Expect food, furniture and clothing that are distinctly Singaporean, and simply shop away!

Sundown Festival

When  August 5

What  Back for its eighth edition, Sundown Festival moves to a new location at Labrador Park this year. Having invited overseas artistes like Show Luo, FT Island, and Shilah Amzah in previous renditions, this year’s line up focuses on homegrown talents, featuring local musicians Derrick Hoh, FARRAGO, Jack & Rai, Jason Chung, Ling Kai, The Summer State, Lee Teng, Ashdown, Jean Goh and Axel Brizzy.

Army Daze 2

When  August 4 to 20

What  Fans of local production Army Daze rejoice—Michael Chiang is back with a sequel to the comedy, which catches up with protagonist Malcolm Png thirty years later. Now an SAF regular with a family of his own, the story follows Malcolm as he reminisces old times with his army buddies, as well as his son Justin, who is making memories of his own in national service. The play boasts an impressive line-up of actors Hossan Leong, Ebi Shankara, Joshua Lim, Shane Mardjuki, Chua Enlai, and our very own Generation T-lister Oon Shu An. Beatrice Chia-Richmond directs the play, which will feature original scores by Don Richmond.
