Set to be unveiled at Maison & Objet 2016, The Tropicals collection by The Rug Maker features the micro details of flora and fauna.

With bespoke designs gracing the floors of countless luxurious spaces since 2004, The Rug Maker is well-known for including a personal touch for all their creations. So what then you ask is in store for us this time? A tribute to the tropical rainforest and its intricate details.

When we often choose to retreat from the heat by hiding in our air-conditioned homes, we often forget about the tropical beauty that surrounds us. The Rug Maker, in partnership with Outofstock Design, wants to change that with their latest collection of six unique designs, The Tropicals.

Outofstock Design found inspiration in Fort Canning Park, where they found many hidden multiple shapes, textures, hues and overtones. The raw and varied palette of colours found on leaves, flowers and barks were chosen for the collection in order to give off a pure and organic look, as Outofstock Design believes that “the role of a rug is to act as a canvas that feeds the soul when everything has been pared down.”

The Tropicals collection will be unveiled at Maison & Objet 2016, 8 to 11 March.
