While the covetable Birkin may be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Hermès, the French luxury fashion house has long offered lifestyle goods as part of their collections. The last decade saw an expansion of the brand’s efforts in creating high-quality homeware, from pretty table top accessories to bespoke, handcrafted furniture that are sure to take pride of place in any abode.

Continuing in their tradition of presenting their home universe at Milan Design Week, Hermès showcased their newest collection Lien d’ Hermès at La Pelota, an arresting space in the city’s Brera Design District. Inspired by the Mediterranean, the setting featured stark white walls and terracotta elements, as well a mesmerising interplay of light and shadow. The clean, bright scenography put the focus on the exquisite pieces on display; whether you’re dressing your nest or just window shopping, there’s a long lust list of pieces we’d like to take home. Karumi Stool and Bench
Bamboo is one of the primary materials used in this year’s collection and the Karumi collection perfectly encapsulates the “simplicity is beauty” ethos of Hermès. Made from bamboo sourced from the sacred Arashiyama forest in Japan and in conjunction with a Japanese bamboo master, the sculptural lines of Alvaro Siza’s design highlight the flexibility and inherent beauty of this hardy grass.
“Groom Attele” Coat Hanger 
No other piece in the collection embodies the spirit of Hermès more than this one, which is part of the “Groom Attele” series that also includes a cart, log basket and more. The clever reference to the maison’s first métier and its equestrian roots is imaginatively executed in this coat hanger made with brass and stainless steel and their signature leather.
Scarf Cabinet
Last year’s bespoke watch and jewellery cabinets caused a stir and the newest incarnation, dedicated to scarves, is sure to have the same effect. Crafted from natural maple, gold smooth bullcalf and 100% wool fabric, it’s a worthy place to store and display all those silk scarves.
Aes Coffee Table
Often, the simplest things are the most imposing, and that’s especially true of this cast bronze coffee table designed by the iconic duo Barber & Osgerby. The overall feel may seem austere in comparison to the other pieces, but it reflects the same focus on the purity of materials and the commitment to timeless design.
Tie Me Up Porcelain Collection
The see now, buy now phenomenon isn’t just limited to fashion; the newest porcelain collection of Hermès was made available worldwide the day it was launched in Milan. Designed by Philippe Mouquet, there’s no chance of getting bored of tablescaping with this collection—the playful colours and whimsical tie-inspired patterns are meant to be mixed and matched based on your mood.
Lacquer Boxes 
In a day and age where storage is almost always built-in, is there any need for extra storage? Well, that’s sort of like asking whether we really need another pair of shoes (the answer is yes).
