Enjoy sumptuous three-course offerings, and at the same time, give back to charity

In a country full of foodies, it was so easy for us to fall in love with the Restaurant Week. Introduced in Singapore in 2010, the first edition was a huge success and it quickly became one of the most anticipated food events until today.

Back once again, the 11th edition will happen from 24 October to 1 November with over 100 restaurants offering you exclusive three-course lunch and dinner menus for very reasonable prices.

But unlike previous editions, the organiser, DiningCity.com, has injected a social responsibility element this year by launching the “Two-Bucks-for-a-Truck”. This campaign aims to raise $100,000 so that it can be donated to The Food Bank Singapore, a charity that collects a surplus of food so it can be redistributed to organisations and people in need of it.

To achieve this, the participating restaurants will donate $2 per check out of their revenue. The progress of this fund-raising will be visible for everyone to see via the Trikkle-Funding platform by CrozzBorderz. You are also more than welcome to donate to this meaningful project simply by sending an SMS.

More details about the project will be released nearer to the Restaurant Week. But in the meantime, you can start booking your restaurants from 28 September.
