Motoring fans were rewarded with double the action and fun over the Formula 1 weekend, served up at the annual Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

There was plenty of action on the tracks even before the start of the actual Formula 1 races at the Singapore Grand Prix 2015, thanks to the highly anticipated and exhilarating support races organised by the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

A regular fixture on Singapore’s Grand Prix calendar since its launch in 2003, the premier sports car championship has proven itself as a testing ground for promising racing talents, and has also attracted the world’s finest drivers to the event, some hailing from as far as Europe. Round 11 of this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup Asia kicked off in the late afternoon on Saturday, 19 September, and it certainly did not let motoring fans down. Despite several hiccups, including overheated engines and false starts at the grid which interrupted the race, Clearwater Racing’s Craig Baird took the top spot with a consistent pole-to-flag victory, while Spark Motorsports’ Egidio Perfetti clinched his victory in the Class B category.
