What to expect: the premier boat show's largest vessel ever and a record of more than 20 Asian debuts.

The 77m Silver Fast by Australia’s Silver Yachts is the largest yacht ever to be displayed at the Singapore Yacht Show.

With Singapore’s beautiful coastline and the handful of private island getaways nearby, sailing is a leisure activity that everyone can enjoy. If you’re looking to buy your first boat or ready to embark on new adventures beyond the region and looking to upgrade, you’ll find plenty to choose from at the Singapore Yacht Show, held from April 6 to 9, at One°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove.

Anchoring the line-up this year is Australian superyacht builder Silver Yachts' 77m Silver Fast, the largest vessel the show has ever seen in all of its six editions, taking to the water alongside other stunning superyachts including the custom-built 65m Ambrosia by Benetti Yachts and the 41m Norman Foster-designed Ocean Emerald. Making its world premiere at the show is the tri-deck catamaran Charley by Australian superyacht builder Echo Yacht.

The Singapore Yacht Show has made a name for itself as the platform for the industry’s most important Asian launches, and this seventh edition sees a record number of more than 20, along with the latest in yacht toys, from three-person submarines and flyboards, to seabobs and inflatables.

Here are five vessels you want to check out at the show. And once you’ve picked out your boat, the only question that’s left to ask yourself is: when will you set sail?

 Silver Yachts Silver Fast

Designed by top luxury yacht designer Espen Øino, this 77m motor yacht retains the aerodynamic hull and super-sleek structure that is a signature of Australian superyacht builder Silver Yachts. Along with all the creature comforts you want in your cruiser, the Silver Fast is also one of the most eco fuel-efficient yachts of its kind, with the ability to complete a voyage from Australia to Europe in 21 days, with just a single fuel stop.

 Princess Yachts Princess S60

Presenting one of the show’s biggest line-up with 14 vessels, Boat Lagoon Yachting, the sole distributor of Princess Yachts in Southeast Asia, brings three iconic models from the renowned British brand, including the Princess S60, which makes it Asian premiere at the show. Along with three well-appointed en suite cabins, the motor yacht impresses with a spacious flybridge that features a wet bar, barbecue, crafted teak table and luxurious seating, perfect for alfresco dining while at anchor in a secluded cove.

 Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 62

Also making its Asian debut is the Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 62, presented by Asia’s leading yacht dealer Simpson Marine. Thanks to its low centre of gravity, optimum length and a perfectly adapted sail area, the sleek yacht is surprisingly easy to handle and manoeuvre. Better yet, its vast cockpit offers a variety of spaces to enjoy the panoramic view while cruising.

 Ferretti Yachts 450

When style and comfort meet performance, you get the Ferretti Yachts 450, one of five yachts that the Italian yacht builder is presenting at the show in collaboration with local dealer Hong Seh Marine. Making its first appearance in Asia, this entry-level flybridge yacht features a streamlined hull geometry and interiors that offer a playful contrast of materials and colours. The retractable swimming platform at the stern can be fitted with a tender lift to offer a submerged area than can be used as a beach club or to retrieve the tender of up to 2.80m

 Azimut Yachts Azimut 95 RPH

Italian yacht builder Azimut Yachts introduces the latest addition to its Azimut Grande series, the Azimut 95 RPH, to the region for the first time. The motor yacht features large windows that bring in natural light on the main deck, while the lower deck houses five cabins that can accommodate up to 10 guests. The flybridge is equipped with a Jacuzzi, a bar, a dinette area and a sun pad, making this cruiser the perfect vessel for entertaining.
