"Bring it On - Danish Contemporary Jewelry" until January 21, 2018, at La Maison du Danemark
Offering a snapshot of the current jewelry scene in Denmark, "Bring It On" brings together 26 contemporary jewelry artists and presents a selection of jewelry crossing between ornament, design object and body art. Curated by Art Jewellery Copenhagen, which seeks to promote the art of contemporary jewelry-making internationally, the show explores various aspects of jewelry: is it merely decorative? Is it art or is it an investment?
"Beyond Seeing" January 18-28, 2018, at WIP La Villette
Goethe-Institut is celebrating Paris fashion week and Franco-German Week with an exhibition called "Beyond Seeing." The show aims to foster innovation in the worlds of design and fashion by appealing to senses other than sight. The French capital's Goethe Institut invited a team of design students to work with blind and partially sighted people to explore fashion beyond sight, focusing on hearing, smell, touch and how the body fills space.
