Tuck into a delectable spread of local Indonesian fare right from the comfort of Alila's outdoor gardens.

Dine under the stars at Alila's outdoor garden

Bali might have its share of trendy restaurants offering world-class cuisine in funky environs, but nothing beats the hearty, tasty fare of Indonesian street food. After all, you cannot begin to understand the culture and traditions of the Balinese until you've had a taste of what the locals tuck into daily. To that end, Alilas Villas Uluwatu has collaborated with five street food vendors to bring a taste of local fare right into the resort itself. Come Friday evenings, these street food vendors will set up shop at Alila's beautiful outdoor garden and dish up their specialities for guests too lazy to venture out into the warungs (small local eateries).

Babi guling (suckling pig) station

For a fixed price of USD30, you get to tuck into Mie Ayam (chicken noodles), Babi Guling (suckling pig), Bakso and Pempek (meatball noodles and fishcake), Martabak (stuffed savoury pancake), and such local desserts as Es Campur and Es Cendol. Wash it all down with fresh coconut juice or a icy cold bottle of local beer.
